Hi guys,Now You can easily hide your files or folders through Command Prompt. It will be impossible for others to find the file or folder unless they know the filename or folder name. You can secure your documents easily by this method. Make sure you remember the file or folder name!
We are now going to hide a folder using Command Prompt from Windows.
Suppose if you want to hide a folder named RAMESH in your D drive.
Follow this steps below :
1)open command prompt by type cmd or command in RUN box.
2)then click Ok the below window will appear on screen.
3)here give your drive location.same as below.
4)after gave your drive location.follow below step.

To Unhide the hidden folder or file follow above steps but make small difference.follow below.
To hide\unhide a file from command prompt follow below
attrib +r +a +s +h <folder name> <file name> to hide
attrib -r -a -s -h <folder name> <file name> to unhide
Every file in DOS has four attributes. These are:
And you can change the attributes for any file by making the following arguments
in the command:
+r = makes a file read-only
-r = removes the read-only status, makes a file editable again
+a = turns on the archive bit (i.e. flags this file as not having been backed
-a = turns off the archive bit (i.e. shows this files as having been backed
+s = marks the file as a system file
-s = removes the system file designation
+h = makes the file “hidden” to other commands
-h = reveals the file to other commands
